Yeast is a common fungus that we would miss if it were not with us. For example, there would be no leaven bread, no beers, wines or ciders, so no spirits or alcohol at all; no soy sauce, no tofu and numerous other things. Our food and lives would be a lot poorer if it were not for yeast.

However, there are many, many variations of yeast, many of which have not been identified yet, more than likely. Many things would not decay if it were not for yeast and many animals would become extinct if the animals that they feed on were extinct because they feed on a yeast of some kind.

We also have yeasts on our bodies. It is to blame for body odour, directly and indirectly. Human bodily yeast tends to live and thrive in the damp regions of our bodies like the armpits and crotch. Tight, synthetic underwear does not breathe well and permits excess moisture to build up. You need to wear garments – including underwear – that permit the circulation of air.

Women are more likely to suffer from yeast infections than men and diabetics are more at danger than others because of the increased level of sugar in the urine, upon which the yeast microbes can feed and flourish. If you perspire much, either by nature or because of exercise, you should change your underwear at least once a day.

If you self-treat an infection of yeast, you need to be careful, because we all have yeast on us and it does a good job in the correct numbers. It also feeds other organisms that you ought to have on you, so if you kill off all the yeast, these other bacteria will die and you might become even worse off.

Stay away from overly scented toiletries and use quite neutral soaps and shampoos. It is far better to shower more often using very little soap and no perfume than it is to shower once a day and smother yourself with deodorant. These chemicals may affect the acid balance of the surface skin which provides an environment more favourable to yeasts.

Some medications including steroids and immunosuppressive drugs can encourage the growth of yeasts, so under these circumstances just take drugs approved by your doctor or check the drugs you would like to take with the doctors, making a special point of saying why you are worried about a yeast infection.

Pregnant and menstruating women are also temporarily more at risk whatever they do about the predicament. Bathing is the sole real manner of counteracting the yeast problem. Dry yourself properly. Talcum powder is better than spray-on deodorants and the less-powerfully scented the powder the better.

Illness and medications can also escalate the likelihood of falling victim to yeast infections. The infection will pass when you get better or you could ask your doctor to swap your medication.

When you are initially diagnosed with a gluten intolerance, also called celiac disease, it may be rather distressing and quite demoralizing. Others, in the mean time, might not even understand that. After all, it isn’t like you have cancer or something, just some hazy food hypersensitivity, big deal. No, it’s not cancer but neither are a lot of challenging circumstances and situations people face. This is not just some vague food allergy either, it can be hard, unpleasant as well as dangerous. Additionally, learning you’re gluten intolerant instantly and dramatically seals your fate forever; no more gluten goods. So much easier said than done. This isn’t just about getting rid of bread either but lots of other things, some of which you never even knew included gluten. In the mean time the sights and aromas of both gluten-laden food products and folks enjoying them are everywhere in this environment. This just isn’t something you ever even noticed much before but now, with gluten goods off your list, it’s all you do see.

So now you need to produce a new list, a gluten free foods list. Would seem realistic but suddenly the gluten food items seem painfully desirable and your yearnings soar. How are you able to just quickly accept that you can no longer eat any of these food items that you’ve loved your whole life? As troublesome as it all is, just learning how to go without some of your beloved foods isn’t the only struggle of going gluten free. There’s also figuring out how to shop and also to sustain your peace of mind when you shop. Gluten free shopping is often challenging as well as costly. This is because, gluten isn’t just within bread, it’s found in all sorts of food items. It’s even used in specific food things that wouldn’t normally contain it. The majority of people never consider whether gluten is in a food or not. Now, you need to know every time you make a purchase or take a nibble. To become an effective gluten free consumer you’re going to have get educated on gluten, learn what foods normally have it, which one’s don’t and which one’s possibly have it. You’ll also have to learn all about food labels gluten-containing additives frequently used in food processing.

The mere thought of going to a grocery store when gluten intolerant can be overwhelming at first, especially since you may also be shopping for a family who has no intention of seeing their gluten based diet change. It’s all rather daunting but given some time and experience, things will improve and you’ll adapt. There are many wonderful gluten-free solutions just waiting for you to realize that will return food joy in your life. Eventually you can even learn to enjoy the challenge of gluten free shopping, finding clever approaches, realizing new health bonuses and connecting with others who are dealing with that problem.

All of us have a incredible capacity to adapt to new situations and find great things in our altered circumstances, you simply need to give it some time. What things can be especially important for the newly discovered gluten-intolerant is that first shopping trip; so here is a suggested approach: First of all, don’t do it yourself, and don’t go it quickly. Rather make an evening out of it. Ask somebody you like being with to go along with you, such as your wife or husband, a good friend or relative. (Do not take the kids.) Prior to going shopping, have a nice meal with the individual who is going to accompany you. This will not only set a amiable tone but also prevent you from being hungry in the store. Rather than having a grocery list this first trip, make the list more to do with learning than buying. Prepare a plan of food types and categories that you want to have a look at.

Before you ever go into the store, focus your thinking and planning on naturally gluten-free foods. Once you’re in the store, steer clear of the bread and pasta aisles as much as you can. Looking for natural gluten-free foods won’t be too hard, the challenge will be processed, manufactured food products. Instruction and planning will be key, but also patience whenever examining items and looking at product labels. As you discover gluten free items you think you could really like, throw them in your basket and don’t deny yourself. After your grocery shopping treat yourself and your partner to a gluten free dessert. What’s happening here is not a gluten-free learning experience, but an attempt to associate your new gluten-free lifestyle with positive activities and emotions from the very start. In addition this will help relieve tension and other negative feelings you may have had about being identified as having celiac disease. This can be all a way of telling yourself you can do this and still lead a completely happy and satisfying life with lots of wonderful foods. You’ll learn to live with gluten intolerance and live better, and healthier than ever.

Education yourself in Gluten Free Shopping and how to cope with a being newly diagnosed with Celiac Disease then be sure to check out The Gluten Free Foods List.

MCT oil, also called fat supplement, is utilized as a dietary supplement for folks whose bodies can’t accurately break down certain foods. MCT oil does not contain protein or carbohydrates. A doctor may prescribe this medication for those who are lactose intolerant or mal-nutritioned. However, MCT Oil can be acquired with no a prescription. It is also beneficial in sustaining a proper immune system by killing microorganisms that attack the body in people with I.B.S. or Crohn’s illness.

MCT oil is good for diabetics since it balances out glucose levels. It’s also beneficial for healthy thyroid function by boosting the metabolism. MCT oil burns fat and improves energy, thus, it is actually great for under-weight individuals hoping to obtain a few pounds. Mixing coconut oil enriched with MCT oil in protein shakes will help with putting on weight.

Bodybuilders making use of this will benefit with the good extra weight it provides. For weight loss, use MCT oil along with a healthy diet and workout routine. MCT Oil helps people to control their appetites creating weight-loss.

MCT Oil goes right to your liver without having going through your lymphatic system, giving a rapid energy boost without boosting your food consumption. In addition, it increases caloric intake without having increasing fat percentages. You may take MCT Oil in a pill form, put it to use as salad dressing, or even cook with it. Hospitals make use of MCT oil to assist in feeding their patients intravenously.

There aren’t any recognized MCT Oil Side Effects, yet individuals with severe liver damage, brain, and nervous system damage should not take it. If you take MCT Oil excessively (50-85 grams per day) it might lead to gastrointestinal problems, like bowel problems. Also if you happen to be allergic to fat supplements you must not consume MCT Oil. MCT Oil is found mostly in coconut oil and palm kernel oils. Common signs of an allergic reaction include hives, fever, a sudden rash, vomiting, and lack of breath.

There are great alternatives to corticosteroid nasal sprays that can be more effective and safer.

There are great alternatives to corticosteroid nasal sprays that can be more effective and safer.

Steroid nasal sprays can be used to relieve the symptoms of sinusitis, hay fever, allergic rhinitis and non-allergic (perennial) rhinitis. They can reduce inflammation and histamine production in the nasal passages thereby relieving nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, sinus pain, headaches etc. Nasonex, Veramyst, Beconase and Rhinocort are the most common steroid nasal sprays used.

However they have the following disadvantages:- they do not effectively treat bacterial or fungal sinusitis because they only relieve the symptoms and do not get rid of the underlying bacterial or fungal infection, they can cause side effects such as nasal ulcers, cataracts, headaches, sore throat etc, they do not work for everyone.

Numerous people suffering from sinus disorders have been helped by using the following natural treatments.

Natural nasal sprays – SinuSoothe, Sinus Buster and Sinol are safer alternatives to steroid nasal sprays and can be just as, and in many cases, more effective than steroid nasal sprays. These natural nasal sprays rely on clinically proven natural ingredients and are being recommended by doctors in the United States. Both Sinus Buster and Sinol relieve migraines and sinus allergies by desensitizing the nasal passages to airborne allergens. SinuSoothe also relieves sinus allergies in the same manner but in addition it contains natural anti-histamines. It is also a potent natural anti-biotic and anti-fungal that kills bacterial and fungal sinus infections effectively.

natural nasal spray for sinus infections

Natural anti-histamines – Butterbur, stinging nettle etc. are all excellent at reducing histamine thereby relieving the symptoms of allergies and rhinitis. Butterbur in particular has been clinically proven to be just as effective as over the counter anti-histamines but without the side effects. Uses – treats and relieves the symptoms of hay fever, allergic rhinitis and non-allergic (perennial) rhinitis.

Saline nasal sprays – Saline nasal sprays such as Sterimar may be useful for moisturizing the nasal passages, removing airborne irritants and relieving nasal congestion. They can be either isotonic or hypertonic solutions. These can be used long term, have no side effects and are non-addictive. However they are not particularly useful at reducing histamine (which causes allergic rhinitis) or killing bacterial and fungal infections. Uses – limited use to relieve sinusitis, hay fever, allergic rhinitis and non-allergic (perennial) rhinitis.

Nasal irrigation – A neti pot is used to irrigate the sinuses with either an isotonic or hypertonic solution. An isotonic solution has the same salt concentration as your body. A hypertonic solution has a higher salt content and may be more useful at drawing moisture and mucous from the sinuses. This may help reduce inflammation and relieve nasal congestion. It is a good practice for keeping your sinuses clean and removing irritants. It is completely safe provided you use the correct saline solution. It may help get rid of sinus infections however it does not reduce histamine. Uses – sinusitis, hay fever, allergic rhinitis and non-allergic (perennial) rhinitis.

Reducing stress levels – Stress contributes to ill health and should be minimised whenever possible. It reduces immune function and causes ‘flare ups’. Vitamin B complex assists the body during stressful times and magnesium, 5htp etc. can help to relax you. There are also plenty of other supplements that can relieve stress and help you to cope with it better. Pressure is healthy, stress is not.

Boosting immune function – Supplement a balanced diet with vitamin C, vitamin B complex, garlic, echinacea, zinc and a good quality multi-vitamin and mineral. Improved immune function will help to fight off infections, reduce the chance of catching an infection and improve your allergy response mechanism.

Natural anti-inflammatories- Since the symptoms of nasal conditions are caused by inflammation (either caused by infection or histamine) it follows that by reducing inflammation you will reduce the severity of the symptoms. Omega 3,6 &9 oils, vitamin C, turmeric and ginger are all excellent natural anti-inflammatories. There are plenty of others and a reputable health food store should be able to advise you on these. It usually takes about 4 weeks for these to start taking effect. Uses – treats and relieves the symptoms of sinusitis, hay fever, allergic rhinitis and non-allergic (perennial) rhinitis.

Pollen barriers – Pollen barriers such as special barrier gel inside the nostrils can catch pollen before it enters the nasal passages thus relieving hay fever symptoms.

Please consult your doctor before using new treatments.

Helen Miller has written countless inspiring articles on sinus related matters that have helped many people with their sinus disorders . She can be contacted at Sinusoothe and is always happy to provide advice on steroid nasal sprays, natural nasal spraysand other sinus treatments.

Nobody likes nappy rash. Not baby, not mummy and daddy and nobody who is in hearing range. With the best will in the world, even the most devoted parents can’t be around to change nappies every hour of the day. Sooner or later, almost every infant between the ages of nine and twelve months is affected by a sore, blotchy red bottom. This is caused by the contents of a wet or soiled nappy coming into contact with the baby’s delicate skin. Understandably, most parents don’t like the idea of having harsh chemicals coming into contact with their child. Fortunately, there are several methods of natural skin care for nappy rash.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Nappy rash is inevitably caused by nappies. The best way to avoid it is to let your baby go commando as often and as long as possible. Just let them lay on a layer of absorbent material and mop up as necessary. Of course, this is not always practical, for example, on public transport or in the shops.

The next best thing to letting your baby go commando is to put your little one in cloth nappies with no plastic or rubber covering. This allows the wet bottom to breathe and does help a little bit towards preventing tears, yours and baby’s. It is also far and away the cheapest and most environmentally friendly approach to this messy but unavoidable problem.

The product of choice of most parents where managing infant waste products are concerned is the disposable nappy. The disposables used on babies of an earlier generation were little more than a layer of flimsy cotton wool sandwiched between two sheets of plastic. These had a sort of greenhouse effect and contained moisture inside, next to baby’s skin. With today’s highly evolved disposable technology, they are far superior to cloth nappies when it comes to convenience.

Frequent changes and scrupulous cleansing with gentle products go a long way towards protecting sensitive skin. Special baby balms containing calming ingredients like calendula or camomile also help soothe baby’s bottom.

A little-known remedy recommended by naturopaths is the use of egg white. Change and cleanse the area with boiled water that has been allowed to cool down to room temperature. Apply a thin layer of egg white, which contains the protein albumin, and gently dry with a hair dryer set on ‘cool’. Repeat twice, until there is a layer about three coats in thickness.

With the best will in the world, outbreaks will occur. While the use of zinc oxide creams may seem harsh, and the smell unpleasant, these products are surprisingly made out of 100 per cent natural ingredients. Where necessary, it is possible, and completely forgivable, to combine nature with science to keep baby dry, comfortable and happy.

Diaper rash is one of the unfortunate parts of being a baby, not just for the infant, but for the parent as well. Infants taking antibiotics are much more likely to get this type of rash, but it can and will happen to almost every baby. Applying natural vitamin E oil for nappy rash is just one of many techniques you can use to soothe the suffering of your baby.

Many think diaper rash is just a minor problem but if it is left unattended it can lead to intense skin problems like blistering. You need to know the signs that your child is giving you. Pay attention to even small changes in the behavior of your baby so that you can spot potential problems immediately.

The comfort of your child is of vital importance so you need to be sure and find a good position for them. If you can arrange a fan to blow cool air on the irritated skin then do it. A little bit of air can go a long way to lessening the discomfort of your baby.

If the cool air does not work you should try giving your baby a warm bath. Just be sure to dry the baby completely before you put the diaper back on. Putting a diaper on wet skin can be the cause of the irritation or make it worse.

Putting on too much ointment can cause more harm than good so make sure you use it lightly. If you have to try and rub superfluous amounts of ointment from your child you might end up making the problem worse. Do not use too much ointment and avoid it altogether if you can.

If you want to avoid this problem before it occurs there are a few simple steps. You should always keep your baby dry; putting a diaper on a wet baby is the quickest way to cause skin irritation. Wet naps are great but just be sure to dry the baby completely after using them.

When babies sit for a long time in soiled diapers they are sure to get irritated skin. This is because the waste of a baby contains chemicals that can lead to irritation of the skin. Change that diaper as soon as it is soiled and both you and your child will be much happier.

Many people choose the method of applying natural vitamin E oil for nappy rash. This is a good technique for soothing the pain but it is best to take steps to stop if from happening in the first place. Keep your baby dry and change their diaper regularly and you will have a much happier child.

The Australian natural ointment tea tree oil is seen as having many medicinal uses. People can use tea tree oil for nappy rash, acne and dandruff, to name but a few conditions. It is worth looking at how this ointment came to prominence and how it works, focusing on the three conditions mentioned above.

The Bundjalung Aboriginals of New South Wales first devised this oil. They distilled the plant leaves of the Melaleuca to make the oil. This plants leaves are also used to make a form of tea, and the method for making both persists to this day.

Unlike tea, however, the oil is poisonous to humans and so it cannot be ingested. Its application is therefore entirely external, and shares some characteristics with another natural balm: lavender oil. The two are alike in that they can both ease pain as an analgesic, and can also heal burns and inflammations, such as nappy rash. However, the difference with tea tree oil is that it must be combined with another oil (e. G. Apricot, olive etc.) before being administered to a baby’s skin.

In using the oil to remove nappy rash, you should use a light coat of the mixture on the irritated skin. This procedure should be followed on a daily basis until the rash has vanished. As the balm also has antiseptic qualities, you can be assured of its effectiveness.

To combat acne, you should mix the oil with your facial wash and concentrate on the affected areas. It is best to use it twice daily for the most effective results. However, if your skin becomes more irritated after using it, then stop using it right away.

To combat dandruff, you should add a few drops to the oil to the shampoo that you use every other day. This will help stimulate the follicles in your hair and clear the dandruff. Alternatively, you could apply it directly to your scalp every other day.

Such, then, are some of the ailments that tea tree oil can treat. As a consequence, it is seen as a dependable natural ointment. And in light of the contempt more mainstream facilities are held in by the general public, the popularity of the oil and other products like it is set to stay strong.

Natural skin care is critical no matter what the age of the person. Natural baby products are better for your baby.

If your child has red and very irritated skin it is likely due to diaper rash. Many parents think that applying natural vitamin E oil for nappy rash is the only way to cure the problem but there are many more. Here are some additional tips to try and ease the pain of your infant.

Diaper rash is nothing more than skin which is irritated, red and usually very hurtful to the child. Blisters may become a problem if things get out of control, so it is best to deal with the problem in a prudent fashion. If you pay attention to the signs your child is giving you things will go much easier.

The comfort of your child is of vital importance so you need to be sure and find a good position for them. If you can arrange a fan to blow cool air on the irritated skin then do it. A little bit of air can go a long way to lessening the discomfort of your baby.

A warm bath can be another way to ensure that your baby is comfortable. One big mistake parents make is not drying the baby completely after the bath. Make sure you get the baby entirely dried off before you re-apply the nappy.

You should try not to rub the infected area any more than you have to. This means you should only use very light coats of ointment to help sooth diaper rash. If you have to rub off copious amounts of greasy ointment, you may be making things worse for your baby.

If you want to avoid this problem before it occurs there are a few simple steps. You should always keep your baby dry; putting a diaper on a wet baby is the quickest way to cause skin irritation. Wet naps are great but just be sure to dry the baby completely after using them.

One of the biggest causes of skin problem in babies comes from their own waste. Bowel movements and urine contain corrosive chemicals that can really bother the sensitive skin of a baby. If your child soils their diaper make sure to change it as soon as possible.

Applying natural vitamin E oil for nappy rash is a good way to soothe the suffering of your infant, but there are others. Keeping your baby dry is very important, as is changing the diaper as soon as it is dirtied. By following this advice you will lessen the pain of the child and in turn, lessen your own.

Get more information about the advantages of applying natural Vitamin E oil for nappy rash today! Using natural skin care can improve the texture of your skin.

Almost 40 percent of the human population will suffer from allergies at some point in their lives. Itchy eyes, stuffy nose, coughing and sneezing are among the most common allergy symptoms and they can make any individual feel tired and weak. In fact, it is common for people to wonder, often out loud, if there is a possibility that they can actually avoid allergies by doing things differently. Absolutely. However, before you change your schedule to avoid allergies you may want to find out the cause of your allergy. Before jumping into anything, a little good old fashioned research and reading might help. Here are just a few of the reasons why people get allergies and what can be done to alleviate the symptoms:

Pollen, Mold, Dust Mites

The four substances above are all leading allergens, or causes of allergies. Depending on several things and situations, the levels of these substances in your surroundings may vary. A high pollen level in your area would make most people susceptible to allergies. Your best preventative measure against these allergens is to stay inside and to dust and/or clean yourself regularly. There may be times you may have to go out, but the moment you return home, run to the shower and take a bath. If any allergy causing substances like dust and pollen clung to your clothing or body while you were out, a bath could take care of that.

Genetics

Regardless of how much you are exposed to pollen or other allergy-triggering substances, you may suffer from allergies purely due to genetics. A person’s genetics can influence the severity or frequency of allergies, as one person may suffer more than another person in exactly identical locations and circumstances. Nothing you can do about it, pretty much, as this can be the bane of being your father and mother’s child.

Low Immunity to Allergies

If your immune system is too weak to fight off the allergies, you will end up suffering for a good part of the year. There are a variety of reasons why you may have a weak immune system. First, if you do not get enough vitamins and minerals your immune system will lose its strength and will become ineffective in fighting allergies and other forms of viruses or infections. Another primary reason for low immunity would be mental duress or anxiety. There is a good reason why mental stress is worse than physical – it weakens the body and makes it unresponsive. When this happens, your immune system shuts down as well. To ensure a strong and effective immune system, take enough vitamins, eat the right foods and stay away from stressful situations.

Despite what was discussed above, there really is no one definite cause of allergies, as many studies indicate different things. Allergies can be caused by one of the reasons listed above or possibly a combination of many different reasons. The importance of living healthy cannot be understated. Eating the right food, exercising regularly and sleeping no less than 6-8 hours a day (preferably would give your body the best defense against allergies.

The benefits of argan oil as a cosmetic ingredient are numerous. Since this product is natural, it can be used on all types of skins and at any age. This product has antimicrobial properties, which are valuable in maintaining the health of the skin. It also provides the skin with an adequate dose of vitamins and nutrients. It is worth noting that the benefits of this product are scientifically proven.

Argan oil is commonly used in skin care. It is applied as a moisturizer for dry skin since it is rich in fatty acids. It also contains active compounds essential for maintaining a healthy skin. When applied on oily skin, this emollient regulates sebum production hence maintains natural oils from the body at a healthy level.

Argan oil serves the purpose of an anti-aging agent. It is known to stimulate regeneration of skin cells. It also helps in softening the skin and reducing wrinkles. This oil is known to increase the elasticity and tightness of skin, as well as aiding in restoring cell functions which protect the skin from sun, pollution, stress and others.

Argan oil has some properties which help control acne. Since this product helps control production of sebum, it is commonly used to manage acne conditions resulting from overproduction of sebum. This product exhibits pH-control properties, which is significant in control of acne resulting from pH imbalance. It also helps to clear scars and reduce inflammation caused by acne.

One of the significant uses of argan oil is managing skin irritation and itchiness. These conditions may result from allergic reactions or dryness, among others. Applying this product prevents drying of the skin while protecting the skin from exposure to allergens at the same time.

Applying this oil on to brittle nails is known to make them stronger. It may also be applied on eyes to reduce crinkly under-eyes. Applying this ointment on the skin few minutes before applying mineral make-up products helps prevent drying up of the skin.

The benefits of argan oil are not limited to the skin only. This ointment is used to make hair stronger and healthy looking. It helps get rid of fizzy hair, avoid split ends and restoring damaged hair. It is also used to make dull hair shiny. When applied to hair, this substance hydrates hair roots and reduces the curly texture. It can be applied to reduce hair breakage.
