Caffeine is best avoided altogether for your acne to clear faster as it has strong dehydrating qualities.
There are some medications which can be useful in healing and preventing acne. Benzoyl peroxide is the chemical which is often used in such medications, and is very effective in reducing inflammation and preventing future breakouts.
The state of your pores makes a huge difference to your acne problems, be sure to remove all make-up before sleep to stop it clogging your pores, and exfoliate your skin once a week to remove the dead skin cells that block pores and can lead to spots.
To prevent permanent acne scars it is essential to use acne medication as soon as the breakout begins. It can be tempting, but it’s important not to pick or squeeze the pimples, especially the more painful pus filled acne lesions. Picking at them can cause deep and permanent scars and spread the infection, making more pimples appear.
